What is DMR


Digital Mobile Radio (DMR) is an international standard for two-way radios that transmits voice and data in non-public radio networks. The European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI) created the standard in 2005 to address commercial markets. The standard has been updated several times since its creation.


What is Ad-hoc Network system

An ad hoc network is a temporary, wireless network that allows devices to connect and communicate without a central router or server.It also known as a mobile ad hoc network (MANET), is a self-configuring network of mobile devices that can communicate without relying on a pre-existing infrastructure or a centralized administration. The network is formed dynamically as devices come into the range of each other, allowing them to exchange data peer-to-peer.


DMR is very popular mobile radios for two audio communication. In the following table, In terms of networking methods, we made a comparison between IWAVE Ad-hoc network system and DMR .
